Live Coverage is a charity event held for/by the UICA (Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts) every year in March. Local artists are asked to participate in the event and donate the works that they create. I have participated in the past (2007 & 2008), this year I was also able to participate because the Lafontsee Gallery opening was the night before and I flew in for both events from Portland. All the artists had a great time and I was happy to have donated $200 for the small painting on the wall to the left of the larger canvas, and another $575 for the larger piece in the Live Auction! I hope to do it again next year, it truly is a wonderful charity and I loved being a part of it.
